Collection: Solid Red Oak

Solid red oak, 3/4 inch thick, milled tongue and groove on all four sides. Widths from 1 1/2 inch strip to 9 inch plank, in plain sawn, rift and quartered, quarter sawn and rift sawn, across every grade from Select & Better through #3 Common.

Red oak reads warmer than white oak — a pink to russet cast rather than tan — with a more open grain and a busier figure. It takes stain readily, which is why it has been the default American floor for generations. Being open-pored it suits wet rooms less well than white oak.

Nail or staple down over an approved wood subfloor. Solid wood is not rated below grade.
