Solid white oak, 3 1/4 inches wide and 3/4 inch thick, milled tongue and groove on all four sides and kiln dried before it ships.
Plain sawn through the log, which gives the cathedral arches most people picture when they picture oak. It is the most economical way to buy white oak and the reason it has floored American houses for a century.
#3 Common is our most rustic white oak. Heavy knots and colour variation throughout, best suited to a deliberately weathered floor.
It ships unfinished, so the stain and sheen are decided on site after the floor is down and sanded — the only way to match an existing floor exactly.
Each box covers 19 square feet.
Nail or staple down over an approved wood subfloor. Solid wood is not rated for below-grade installation.
